Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes Online offers access to the complete
content from the print edition of Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes,
including full text and graphics, plus enhanced editorial, immediate access on
the date of publication, searchability, and hypertext links to related citations
in MedLine.
For the most part, institutional access is limited to computers within a
particular set of Internet IP addresses. See Guidelines for Institutional Access for details
about authorized use and authorized users.
For example, each campus in the State University
of New York system is considered a different site, and each branch or
office of UpJohn Laboratories is considered a different site.
Individuals who are not AHA members may subscribe at the
Individual (Non-Member) level, at the

Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes Online Policies and Procedures for Institutional Subscriptions
- • AHA Journals online subscriptions are available via Ovid
Technologies. With your institution's Ovid online subscription, you may
access your AHA Journals through both the Ovid and HighWire platforms. In
order to activate your HighWire access, your library subscription administrator
will need to have your institution's Ovid Customer Number, which is typically
provided by your Ovid Sales Rep. For more information and to request pricing
information, or your Ovid Customer Number, please contact the Regional
Ovid Sales office closest to you.
• AHA Journal print subscriptions and AHA journal online subscriptions
are separate and independent. Online subscriptions may or may not show the
same start date or the same expiration date. Adjustments due to missed print
issues, previous orders or other matters may cause the expiration dates to
diverge even when the subscriptions commenced at the same time.
• AHA Journal Online subscriptions allow access over the course of a
period of 52 weeks (a one year subscription) to the full text and graphics
of all issues published on the Web. There is no physical or online archive
provided with this subscription. Online subscribers are encouraged to purchase
a print subscription for archiving purposes until a standard for online archiving
has been established.
• After the order has been processed by Ovid, the library subscription
administrator must activate the online subscription with your Ovid Customer
Number. The librarian will select a user name and password (for administrative
purposes only), and list the IP addresses for the institution.
Please allow up to three weeks for order processing if not ordering directly
through Ovid. More time may be necessary during the peak period from December
- February. The librarian will be notified by mail or e-mail when the subscription
is ready for activation. Librarians with a print subscription to an AHA journal
may try to activate at any time after ordering by entering their AHA customer
account number as instructed. The activation will be successful only after
the order has been processed
